EDCI 644 Assignments

Group Mathematics Topics and Learning Progression Project 
In groups, students will:

  • Explore research literature on their topic,
  • Create an annotated bibliography of the literature,
  • Select an article that could be shared with teachers,
  • Prepare an appropriate assessment within the topic, and
  • Prepare a handout on the topic for their peers.
  • Students will explore and present information on one of the following topics and how they address learning progressions for students:
    • K-5 Progression on Number and Operations - Base Ten
    • K-5 Progression on Counting and Cardinality and Operations and Algebraic Thinking
    • 3-5 Progression on Number and Operations – Fractions
    • 6-8 Progression on the Number System
    • K-5 Progression on Statistics and Probability
    • 6-8 Progression on Expressions and Equations
