About Data & Digital Scholarship Services

Located in 2700 Fenwick Library on the Fairfax campus, the George Mason University Libraries Data & Digital Scholarship Services (DDSS) supports the interdisciplinary teaching and learning needs of data-focused research and scholarship for students, staff and faculty, by providing support in the areas of:

  • Creating, finding, and using data
  • Data management, curation, and archiving
  • Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
  • Digital scholarship (humanities, social sciences, and sciences)
  • Digital projects planning and management; and
  • Related scholarly communication issues

Data and Digital Scholarship Services Use Policy

Our services are available to current George Mason University students, faculty, and staff.

The DDSS Lab may be used by current George Mason University students, staff, and faculty. DDSS Lab and all computers cannot be used for analyzing confidential or sensitive data.

Users of Data & Digital Scholarship Services are expected to adhere to George Mason University Libraries’ Library Community Standards and Expectations, as well as the University’s Responsible Use of Computing and related policies.
