SimplyAnalytics: Getting Started

A guide to using the SimplyAnalytics (formally SimplyMap) database to access data related to Census and market research and to create online mapping.

Select Variables

Click on Data on the menu, then click on BROWSE BY DATA FOLDER and Select YEAR (2000 as example)
Example: Choose, Census US>People and Households>Population>Total>#Population (as shown below)
After you finish choosing variable(s), click on x, "Close the side tab to Continue" to move on to the next step.

Another option: use SEARCH option to find out what variables are available for your topic

Select Location to Map

Click on Locations tab on the left, type location as shown below (ie. Fairfax County, VA as your map area)
A map will be displayed automatically (as shown below)

Add Points of Business Location (Optional)

Click on Business tab on the right, search your business location (type "learning center") as example.
You will see the dot locations appeared on your map.
