Resources for Dramaturgy

What is Dramaturgy?

According to Dictionary.com, dramaturgy can be summarized as "the craft and techniques of dramatic composition", with a dramaturg being someone who engages in such practices. The term stems from Aristotle, and it breaks down into "drama", meaning action, and "tourgos", to work together. Additionally, Professor Magda Romanska claims that dramaturgy is set apart by a need for "the analytical skill of discerning and deconstructing all elements of narrative structure". This may seem like a tall order, but here you'll be able to find resources that can guide you in the right direction.
