The library collects data sets from government and commercial sources such as ESRI and Geolytics.  The library has also partnerships with local governments to make GIS data sets available to the Mason community. Users can download individual data layers of our local GIS data and other purchased datasets through the Library Geodata Web Server.

We also offer a series of GIS workshops from Introduction to GIS to Data Mining skills each semester.  Please see the complete workshop list and take advantages of this offer including the tutorials related to the workshops.

If you need research consulations related to geospatial and GIS technology and any other statistical data, please contact Joy Suh (  See also our GIS service policy (Click the image above for the interactive web mapping mode).
