Welcome!

As your GIS librarian, I communicate, consult and collaborate with students and faculty about data and GIS related projects; instruct classes, and provide one-on-one research assistance in person, by phone, e-mail & iMasonLibraries.

The library collects data sets from government and commercial sources such as ESRI. The library also has parternships with local communities to make local GIS data sets available to the Mason community. Users can download individual data layers through the Library Geodata Server.

We have regular GIS workshops providing the basic concepts of GIS and step-by-step "hands-on" exercises to be famliar with ArcGIS software. See various exercises that we offer at the GIS Mason Tutorials site and the sepecific GIS Service Policies.
