TRID was released in 2011 to replace TRB’s Transportation Research Information Services (TRIS) Database and the OECD’s Joint Transport Research Centre’s International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) Comprehensive bibliographic resource on transportation research information. It is produced and maintained by the Transportation Research Board of the US National Academies. TRID's focus is transportation research. TRID does not contain information on vehicle standards and specifications, patent information, market research, or military transport.
