This guide is for School of Ed faculty to learn about and use library resources and services.

Library Instructional Support

George Mason Libraries offers a wide variety of instruction opportunities, both face-to-face and online. We value close collaboration with teaching faculty to develop focused, relevant learning experiences for students.

Asynchronous Instruction

Mason Libraries has prepared asynchronous materials that you can assign in your class. General Library content can be located on the Mason Libraries YouTube page or the How Do I... page. To request new asynchronous materials, please use the request library instruction form above.

Canvas Content

Library instructional content is currently available through Canvas Commons. This content can be customized by faculty and used in whichever ways best support student learning.

These guided tutorials include certificates of completion. You can assign them as homework for your class or offer them as optional. You do not not need to contact the Education Librarian to use these materials.

In this tutorial, students will learn about their subject librarian and discover library resources relevant to their discipline.
