Wall Street Journal Online

Guide and info for WSJ

Search & Access to Older Articles

There are two ways to search for and access older articles in the Wall Street Journal:

1. Use the search feature (click on the magnifying glass icon) on wsj.com.  Start with a basic keyword search, which covers the most recent 90 days.  After doing a basic search, you will see a link to "advanced search," which you can use to search for and retrieve articles as old as four years ago.

2. Use the Wall Street Journal (1984-Current) database, coverage from 1889-2002. or ProQuest Historical Newspapers: The Wall Street Journal. Provides comprehensive indexing, covering bibliographic information as well as subjects, companies, people, products, and geographic areas.
