Even if Christopher is not marked as available through my scheduler, please email him at clowder2@gmu.edu, and he can find a time to meet with you. All appointments require at least 24 hours notice. He can also answer questions over email. Please include the following in your email:

  • Preferred Date/Time
  • Preferred meeting type
    • Face-to-Face
    • Zoom
  • Specifics of what you need help with (ex: class assignment description or skill you want to learn)

How Do I....

Use the following PDF to find step by step instructions to access resources and services in the library including:

  • Look for a known article by article title
  • To check if a library books is available
  • request a book/article from another GM campus, from Storage, the WRLC, or Interlibrary Loan
  • find out if a journal is available electronically
  • To access the databases via the Database link
  • check if a journal is peer-reviewed,
  • find the DOI of an article, when not listed
  • Download an EBSCO e-Book
  • Use Boolean to conduct more effective searches
  • Find Journal acceptance rates
