In addition, I select books, journals, multimedia, online sources and other scholarly materials for the Department of Dance.

About the Collection

Selected Reference Tools

Books & Media

Most of the dance materials are located in the Johnson Center Library, under the call numbers GV 1580 -  1799.4.  However, you may find related sources in other call number areas -- for example, history.

To find information about a particular ballet or dance piece, perform a subject search in the Library Catalog.  Example: afternoon of a faun

To find copies of videos of specific ballets or dance pieces, use the Library Catalog

  • limit the location to "Johnson Center videotapes"
  • then perform a keyword search for the title (e.g., "swan lake")

Journals & Newspapers

Print and microform journals and newspapers are shelved alphabetically by title in the Periodicals/Microforms collection, located on the 1st floor of Fenwick Library.  Electronic journals (e-journals), databases, and other full-text, online sources are accessible through the library's Web site.
