The Seed Library has a base variety of seeds that we order and try to maintain in stock throughout the year, listed on this page under "Current Seeds for 2025". Our focus is on edible plants like vegetables and herbs but also contains some native forage and flowers. The seed library is currently in its pilot year and its likely the stocked varieties will change from year to year based on popularity and requests. If you have any requests for future stocking, please fill out the feedback survey on the "Feedback Survey" page.
Currently all seeds are organic from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange, which is an organic local seed exchange based in Mineral, VA. Some native flowers and other plants are saved and dried from the Forager's Forest on George Mason University's Campus, which aims to make native edible plants available to GMU campus members.
Seed variety growing instructions will be listed when possible. Don't see a seed you want? Go to our Feedback/ Seed Request Form and request we add seed varieties there!
