Open Science Framework (OSF)

Open Science Framework (OSF) is a free, open source web application built to help researchers manage their workflows.

Setting up an OSF account

OSF accounts are free to everyone, but you need to login through George Mason University to affiliate your work with the GMU Institution page. 

1. Click on the 'Sign Up' button on the OSF home page.



2. Click on the 'Institution' button.



3. Select George Mason University from the pull down menu.


You will then be prompted for your Mason NetID and password using the usual GMU branded, CAS authentication screen.

Linking to GMU if you already have an OSF Account

1. Click on the 'Sign In' button on the home page.

Sign In

2. Click on the 'Sign in through institution' button.


Select George Mason University from the Institution pull down menu as above.

Enter your Mason NetID and password on the GMU-branded CAS authentication page.

You will then see your Dashboard.
