Welcome to the Higher Education Research Portal!

This research portal is intended to serve as a gateway to organized resources related to research and teaching in Higher Education. It was created in conjunction with faculty and students in the Higher Education programs.  Use this research portal to discover higher education resources available to you at Mason and beyond.  

• Find Research Tools - Education metasearch tool, key research databases and journals, assistance with working with statistics, and testing and evaluation in higher education
• Start to Write & Publish  - Resources to assist with getting started publishing, Mason publishing opportunities, and the theses/dissertation process.
• Explore Research Topics - Connects journals, databases,books, and websites/professional organization related to eleven areas of higher education.  They range from higher education administration to teaching methods and curriculum
• Student Support - This page links to resources related to support of students in higher education including: Professional Associations, Conferences and Funding & Grants
• Find Online Tutorials -   tutorials on beginning your research, finding & evaluating resources, using Zotero to create citations
• Write & Cite - links to information on citing references using APA format and Zotero
• Get Help - make an appointment with the Education Librarian, use Virtual reference, information for distance students, connect to the Writing Center, and step by step directions for using many common library resources.
