Upcoming Reductions of ERIC Journal Indexing
Editors of some education-related journals have been notified by the U.S. Department of Education that, as part of efforts to reduce government spending, the ERIC database will stop including their journal’s articles published on or after April 24, 2025.
It is currently expected that all articles indexed in ERIC prior to this date will remain in the resource.
As we learn more about which journal titles will no longer have their articles indexed in ERIC after April 24, 2025, we will keep this guide updated with more information. When possible, we will include guidance on accessing future articles from these journals.
Please note this change in ERIC’s indexing does not impact your access to the database. However, the indexed content of ERIC will change after April 24, 2025.
