Borrow Books Beyond Mason

If we don't have the book you're looking for, expand your search beyond Mason Libraries.

The WRLC (Washington Research Library Consortium)

We have seven regional partner libraries in DC, and Mason patrons may borrow circulating music books (and scores) from any partner-- without physically visiting. To search for books in the WRLC, type in a keyword to the search box on the library website and press "Enter." After you get your results, you will see the option to filter to WRLC by the search box at the top of the page.

Inter-Library Loan (ILL)
Can't find the item through Mason or the WRLC?
Place an Interlibrary Loan request and we'll try to find a library who does. Please consider if you really need the item before placing the request (why).

WorldCat
WorldCat
is a giant catalog of the holdings of thousands of libraries, mostly in the USA. Use this when looking for music books not held by local libraries- it will let you know if some other library in the country owns it. Submit an Inter-Library Loan request through the library. It could 2+ weeks before your book arrives, depending on location of the lender. You'll get an email when it is ready for pickup.
