Get Started Sharing Your Research
Mason Archival Repository Service (MARS) preserves and shares data of enduring value produced by Mason faculty, staff, and students. Make your research more discoverable by the research community, and satisfy data sharing requirements. Home of Mason's Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs), as well as faculty research publications and data files, MARS provides access to the intellectual work of the Mason community. MARS is hosted and maintained by Mason Libraries' Mason Publishing Group and the Digital Scholarship Center.
MARS comprises two institutional repository options:
MARS
Use this for depositing articles, books, theses and dissertations, presentations, and more.
George Mason University Dataverse data repository.
Use this for depositing final research data such as tabular data (SPSS, Stata, R, Excel, CSV), GIS files, code, or similar.
Open Science Framework (OSF) for Institutions
Through the University Libraries sponsored OSF for Institutions membership, you can associate any publicly shared data with George Mason. You also have the convenience of using single sign on to log in with your Mason username and password. OSF is part of NIH's Generalist Repository Ecosystem Initiative (GREI), an NIH approved generalist repository for sharing NIH funded research output.
In addition, the Libraries have a membership with the Qualitative Data Repository (QDR).

DataCite is a global non-profit organization that provides persistent digital object identifiers (DOIs) for research data. Mason Libraries can issue DOIs for materials deposited in Mason repositories. Mason Libraries is a Member.
Whether you publish your data in our repositories or choose to publish elsewhere, Mason Libraries' Digital Scholarship Center and Mason Publishing Group can consult and recommend appropriate metadata schema from our metadata experts.
