Check for a specific film

The Library Search can be used to locate streaming media that the library owns or subscribes to. However, it does NOT contain videos from request-only databases such as Kanopy and Swank.

Once you have reached library.gmu.edu, simply type your search terms into the search box, press enter, then refine your results to "Availability: Online" and "Resource Type: Video" or "Resource Type: Audio." This will yield films that the library owns in streaming.

Provides "head to toe" and systems-based physical examination techniques. Streaming videos, cover adult, infant, child, and older adult patients. Each video may be be viewed as a full volume, or chapter-by-chapter. Includes access to the OSCE module designed to help students prepare for Objective Structured Clinical Examination.

JoVE, the Journal of Visualized Experiments, is a peer reviewed scientific video journal. Videos focus on laboratory methods and science concepts. Access all sections in JoVE Research and JoVE Science Education.

Videos provide reliable, detailed instructions for serving diverse populations and therapeutic issues. Films within the collection also provide step-by-step instructions for successfully implementing dozens of therapeutic approaches.
Symptom Media Collection This link opens in a new window
Online mental health education and training film library. These innovative DSM 5 and ICD guided films offer visual guideposts to better understand what a particular mental health diagnosis looks like. Ranging from 30 seconds to 15 minutes, the films are currently integrated into undergraduate, graduate and professional courses as instructors use as: visual anchors for reference, lecture & discussion; help students identify, understand and recognize nonverbal cues & body language indicators; provide points of reference for cross comparisons & differentiate between diagnoses; learn assessment skills; and integrate in exams for competency testing.

Contains a broad World Cinema Collection, along with films spanning the humanities, social sciences, sciences, business, economics, and health.

Provides access to over 70,000 video titles from numerous unique content partners including Sony Pictures Classics, Film Platform, Filmakers Library, Milestone Films, Microtraining Associates, PBS, and many more. Subject coverage is broad. Interactive transcripts and closed captions are available.

Access GMU-licensed commercial and academic videos via New Jersey's digital media repository, a hosting service for video streaming.

Provides a collection of over 26,000 films that include documentaries, indies, foreign films, classics, and feature films. Producers include the Criterion Collection, New Day Films, California Newsreel, Kino Lorber, and many more. *PLEASE NOTE THAT KANOPY'S CATALOG IS CURRENTLY LIMITED, AND SOME FILMS MUST BE REQUESTED BY FACULTY TO ACCESS.*
