Reduce textbook costs by assigning Library Educational Resources,
or, library-provided ebooks, articles, and media as required course materials.
What are Library Educational Resources (LER)? LER are library-provided electronic resources suitable for use as assigned course materials. Students can access LER on and off campus by using their university login credentials when prompted.
How about Open Educational Resources (OER)? OER are available for many subject areas. The advantages of OER include (1) OER often come with the option to adapt or repurpose the original and (2) OER are not dependent on your institutional affiliation or library budgets. See this page or contact Emilie Algenio at ealgenio@gmu.edu for more information about OER.
For most ebook resources here, you can link to an entire book or a single chapter, or you could post a DRM-free PDF chapter. All resources listed here are ideal for assigning to students!
