How to spot a peer-reviewed book

3 steps to search for a peer reviewed monograph (a book published by a university press):

Step 1: Start at this search page.

Step 2: Enter your search terms and the phrase "university press" as shown in the example here:

Step 3: Make sure all chapters were written by the same author. 

  • Look at the table of contents -- if you see author names next to chapter titles, DO NOT USE THIS BOOK.
