Zotero is a wonderful tool that can make keeping track of sources and citing your papers a far less arduous task!
It is a tool originally created at George Mason University, at the Center for History and New Media, and has since taken on a life of its own.
Obtaining Zotero can be done at the Zotero website https://www.zotero.org/download/ with ease. Make sure to get both pieces! If you wish, you can just grab Zotero and go. Or, you can register to have the ability to sync your Zotero library across multiple machines through their servers. If you do so, I highly recommend registering with your George Mason University e-mail to get all the benefits you can (specifically, unlimited online storage!).
If you are willing, below is a somewhat lengthy video that describes many of the primary, and some advanced, features of Zotero that will hopefully make your life a little less bad.
