What is a subject search?
Subject searches look for books that have been assigned a subject (like a #hashtag) by catalogers and libraries. Subject searches can be very precise and help limit your searches to materials that are actually about your topic, but they are also not very flexible: unless that specific term has been tagged on a book, you might not see results. One trick is to look for another book that you know is on a similar topic and see what subject headings have been given to that work.
Looking for a specific book, artist, or photo process? Use the library's catalog to search, OR you can browse the shelves in these areas. Most of the photography books are located on the 5th floor of Fenwick Library, though many current books on photo processes and professional/business practices are available online.
