What is the Juvenile Literature Collection

The juvenile literature collection is a set of books in Fenwick Library aimed to support reading and literacy for ages 0-13. This is especially helpful for teachers, reading specialists, and parents.

What books are included in the Juvenile Literature Collection?

Books are added to this collection via a book approval plan for award winning juvenile literature and through requests. The plan includes Newberry and Caldecott Medal winners, multi-cultural awards such as Coretta Scott King and Tomoas Rivera awards, as well as international awards such as Aurealis, Bisto, Kate Greenway, and Costa Awards. Currently, the juvenile collection only contains physical books.

Book requests can be sent to the Education Librarian.

Who can check out books from the collection?

The juvenile literature collection follows the same borrowing policies as other circulating items. Review the borrowing policies page for more information.
