Where to Find Scores in Fenwick Library:
There are four main shelving areas (what the catalog calls "locations") in which to find printed scores. They are in the Music Library in Fenwick 2B.
"Scores, Non-Circulating:" reference scores, these for a short circulation time (5 days). These are mostly composers' complete-works sets in critical/scholarly editions; distinguishable by the blue dots on the spines.
Scores are items in performance editions that can be borrowed. These also include many chamber music PARTS-SETS (trios, quartets, quintets, etc.): these circulate as one set. (The loss of a part makes the entire set unusable.)
Miniature Scores: handy reduced-size "study" scores have their own shelf area and green "MINI" labels on spines or covers.
Oversize Scores: very large scores have their own shelf area and red "OVSZ" labels on spines.
A small number of non-circulating musical rarities (such as early editions of scores) are located in the Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) at Fenwick Library.
