Division 21: Applied Experimental and Engineering Psychology promotes the development and application of psychological principles, knowledge, and research to improve technology, consumer products, energy systems, communication and information, transportation, healthcare, decision making, work settings, living environments, and more.

The CIEHF is a professional member organisation for ergonomists and human factors specialists, uniquely providing a route to Chartership. We accredit education and training courses and recognise quality ergonomics services. Our activities raise awareness about the broad scope and positive impact of the discipline in all aspects of life and work.

The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) advances the science and practice of designing for people in systems through knowledge exchange, collaboration and advocacy

Human factors and engineering psychologists study how people interact with machines and technology. They use psychological science to guide the design of products, systems and devices we use every day. They often focus on performance and safety.

The International Ergonomics Association (IEA) is the federation of ergonomics and human factors societies around the world entitled as international organization founded in Zurich (Switzerland). The mission of the IEA is to elaborate and advance ergonomics science and practice, and to expand its scope of application and contribution to society to improve the quality of life, working closely with its constituent societies and related international organizations.

The Board on Human-Systems Integration (BOHSI) has been a part of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine for nearly 40 years. From an initial roster of 11, more than 100 distinguished experts have served as volunteer members, including members of the National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Engineering, and National Academy of Medicine.
