Zotero

Zotero is a free, easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organize, cite, and share research. 

To download Zotero, go to https://www.zotero.org/. 

Mason Libraries conduct Zotero workshops throughout the semester on the Fairfax and Mason Square campuses. Sign up for the workshops here. 

The library created the following video tutorials to help users download and fully utilize Zotero. 

  1. Zotero Part 1 - This video shows how to download Zotero and how to create an account. 
  2. Zotero Part 2.1 - This video shows how to add citations from the Zotero desktop client. 
  3. Zotero Part 2.2 - This video shows how to add citations from the internet using the browser plug-in. 
  4. Zotero Part 3 - This video shows how to organize sources in the Zotero library. 
  5. Zotero Part 4.1 - This video shows how to export citations. 
  6. Zotero Part 4.2 - This video shows how to import citations into Microsoft Word. 
  7. Zotero Part 4.3 - This video shows how to import citations into Google Docs. 
  8. Zotero Creating Groups - This video shows how to create groups in Zotero.
