Intimacy Directors and Coordinators (IDC) is the leading and largest organization training and certifying intimacy professionals worldwide. Our students have gone on to work and create impact at every level of the industry including HBO, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Netflix, and on Broadway! We create supportive communities, where aspiring intimacy professionals can learn essential skills and build fulfilling and impactful careers.

Intimacy Professionals Association is one of the leading educational organizations in the field of intimacy work for the screen and live performance. We offer one of the oldest and most widely recognized intimacy coordinator training programs in the industry worldwide that is also accredited by SAG-AFTRA. IPA-certified intimacy coordinators undergo extensive training to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to become an intimacy coordinator that goes above and beyond what is taught in other IC training programs. Our graduates are equipped not with just the facts on how to do the job, but also the indispensable soft skills required to do IC work well and with tact. In addition to our intimacy coordination for film and TV program, we also offer a similarly rigorous training program for individuals looking to train as intimacy choreographers for live performance. IPA also offers educational programming for the public and intimacy professionals, as well as consulting services for studios, production companies, and other industry groups. IPA has been working in partnership with SAG-AFTRA on their initiative to standardize and codify guidelines for intimacy coordinators. IPA was a primary contributor to the SAG-AFTRA Standards and Protocols for the Use of Intimacy Coordinators, and continues to work closely with the union on unionization efforts for intimacy coordinators.

THE AMERICAN DANCE GUILD was formed in 1956 and was one of the first dance service organizations in the United States. Originally its goal was to support dance teachers with a yearly conference - providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information and an opportunity to see master teachers demonstrate their work. The Guild grew rapidly. Soon the membership included individuals and organizations from nearly every state in the U.S. as well as from abroad and included performers, choreographers, writers, historians, critics, accompanists, therapists, notators, and educators at all levels. It produced DanceScope, a far reaching publication edited by Marcia Siegel with in-depth articles that covered all areas of dance from Ballet to Jazz to Indian Dance to Jose Limón, Martha Graham, Erick Hawkins, Trisha Brown, Meredith Monk, Yvonne Rainer and many more. In its newest incarnation, the American Dance Guild now focuses on offering performance opportunities both in annual festivals and “Bare Bones” low-tech productions, and awards a summer scholarship to Jacob’s Pillow.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC) is the national labor union representing professional stage directors and choreographers across the United States. As the theatrical union for directors and choreographers, SDC unites, empowers, and protects its members working in theatre and live performance. Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, leads for a just and thriving theatre ecology.
