Search Tips

As you search, remember these key tips:

Broaden your Search
When conducting a search, it is important to brainstorm keywords, players, and phrases. Different creators will use different terms for the same concept--one author might use the term "film" while another might use "motion picture."

Example Search: "Hong Kong Films OR Hong Kong Motion Pictures" will yield results with both the phrases "Hong Kong Films" and "Hong Kong Motion Pictures."

Narrow your Search
Narrow your search by brainstorming specific people, locations, time periods, and genres.

Example: Keywords related to "Hong Kong Action Cinema":
John Woo
Kung Fu Films
Women AND Martial Arts Films
