A definitive guide on GMU Libraries Course Reserve services for students and faculty.

Submitting Review Copies of Dissertations / Theses for Reserve

Some programs require their graduate students to submit a review copy of their dissertation/thesis to be placed on course reserve for viewing as part of their defense.

    • All review copies must have the permission form in order for it to be placed on reserve.
    • All review copies must be submitted in a physical format.
    • Proxies may be used in the submission of the physical format of the review copy.
    • If the graduate student is unable to submit a physical format in-person or via a proxy, they must contact the Mason Reserves Team at ereserve@gmu.edu to discuss submitting via mail.
    • All review copies circulate as a 2-hour loan.
    • All review copies are provided their own call number and are searchable in the library's catalog. However, if the graduate student would like the call number to distribute to those who need to view the review copy, reach out to the Mason Reserves Team and they will provide it.
