About the Collections

The Mason Libraries e-Book collections cover a number of different subject areas -- everything from art, the humanities, history, to science and technology.  E-books are electronic versions of books and can be viewed online. Browse the Mason Libraries e-Books for quick research and answers to reference questions or read them at your leisure.  They’re available for you to use -- anywhere, anytime.  Check them out!

EnviroNetBase is a comprehensive online library of books covering environmental topics and issues.  Topics covered include Earth Science, Ecology, Environmental and Ecological Risk Assessment, Environmental Modeling & Systems Analysis, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Law, GIS, Remote Sensing, etc.

The Mason Libraries have recently acquired access to several electronic book libraries from Springer.  These libraries inlcude: 

Lecture Notes in Computer Science,

Computer Science E-books and 

Mathematics & Statistics E-books.

These books contain research presented at numerous conferences and workshops throughout the world as well as invited research papers compiled in books on specific topics. 

      

    New e-Book Collections

    The following e-book libraries have recently been added to the Mason collection.  Each title is linked so that you can see what books are available.

    • ASM Handbooks Online  
      Features the complete content of twenty-four ASM Handbook volumes plus two ASM Desk Editions. Contains information on metals/alloys and their properties, casting, coatings, corrosion, fatigue, etc.
    • Synthesis Digital Library of Engineering and Computer Science  
      Electronic books written by experts that provide a detailed overview of topics in biomedical engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, etc.
