Find Articles
Articles may be found in many different places, including databases, reference lists, print materials as well as directly from your professor.The most common way to find journal articles is to search a library database in your subject. The results of your search will give you citations to articles on your topic. To find the full-text of a journal article you need to have the complete citation:
Article Author, Article Title, Journal Title, Journal Volume Number, Journal Issue Number, Date of Publication, Page Numbers.
Follow the steps below to find the full text of an article if you have the citation.
- E-Journal Finder
Search for online JOURNAL TITLES. If title is in E-Journal Finder, use your citation information to get the article you need. JOURNAL TITLE not available online? Search the Mason Libraries Catalog. - Mason Libraries Catalog
If your journal title is not online, search the Catalog by JOURNAL TITLE to locate a print copy of the journal. Journal title not in the Mason Catalog? Search the WRLC/ALADIN Catalog. - WRLC/ALADIN Catalog

If your JOURNAL TITLE is not in the Mason Catalog, search the Washington Research Library Consortium (WRLC) to locate the JOURNAL TITLE. If you find it, you can request the item through the Consortium Loan Service (CLS). - InterLibrary Loan Requests (ILLiad)
If your article is not available through the services listed above; use ILLiad to request the item from another library outside the WRLC region.
