Workshop FAQs

Q: Who can come to the workshops?

A: Anyone affiliated with George Mason University may attend.

Q: How do I register for a workshop?

A: Go to http://ittraining.gmu.edu, view workshops and click on the register link next to the workshop you wish to register for.

Q: Can I bring my laptop and use it during the workshop?

A: It is better to learn on the instruction room computers, then transfer your knowledge to your laptop. Due to the amount of information we cover in a session, there may not be time to troubleshoot issues with your setup if you are using your laptop. We would be happy to schedule time to help you with those issues outside of the workshop.

Q: Can I have someone in the library do a workshop specifically for my class?

A: Contact your liaison librarian to talk about scheduling a workshop for your students.

Q: I really want to take a workshop, but none of the times work for me. What can I do?

A: You can work with someone one-on-one, or use our online tutorial information. Contact your liaison librarian to schedule a one-on-one.
