Geospatial Data Collection at Mason
Geospatial data come from a variety of sources including federal, state, and local government agencies. Mason also collects data from commercial vendors such as ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute) and Geolytics. Most of them are in CD-Rom/DVD format and shelved in the drawers in the government documents unit, 1st floor-C wing, Fenwick Library.
Some of the data sets are available in house use only. More local data sets are downloadable through the Libraries’ Geospatial Data Server.
