Find tutorials covering all aspects of conducting research, managing the information you find, and using Mason Libraries resources and services.
Concept Map: Plan Your Research
A concept map is a visual representation of how you understand information. It helps you frame your topic and discover new ideas for your research. Use a concept map before beginning your research to help you develop a deeper understanding of your topic. These maps can also save you time during the research process, as you will know what words to use in your searching.

Library workshops are a great way to learn new research skills and as well as understand how to use many of our resources!

Zotero Workshops
Do you have 60 minutes to learn about a tool that will save you hours of time? Join Mason Libraries and learn about Zotero, a free tool that helps you collect, organize, cite, and share research. Zotero not only stores resources, but it also generates in-text citations and formats bibliographies in any style you need.
University Dissertation & Thesis Services
These popular workshops walk you through the process you must complete in order to complete and submit your thesis or dissertation so that you can graduate on time. These include topics like Format Review deadlines v. Final Submission deadlines, tips to make your life a little less stressful, and time for any questions you might have.

The academic skills workshops can help you improve your academic performance and develop your study skills. Workshops include: Exam Strategies, Critical Thinking, Reading Strategies, Note-taking, and Memory Strategies.
The Writing Center: Tutoring
The Writing Center offers face-to-face, video, and email tutoring, as well as ESL Writing Support.
Academic Coaching Program
The Academic Coaching Program helps students adjust to higher education. Peer Academic Coaches meet with students to develop study plans, discuss time management, goal setting, reading strategies, and more.
Digital Scholarship Center
The Digital Scholarship Center helps you find, access, and use statistical, geospatial and qualitative data as well as digital humanities, as well as relevant software. They instruct and consult on data discovery, acquisition and use, data management and data management plans, GIS, methodology, and more.
